The CCIF offers, as an open-source public good, a holistic approach to build climate risk-resilient investment portfolios based on the three key objectives of the Paris Agreement: climate change mitigation, climate change adaptation, alignment of financial flows with a low-carbon, climate-resilient pathway. This is the first time this has ever been done.
The CCIF is being used to construct a bond portfolio across AIIB member geographies.

This session will focus on the role of ASEAN capital market regulators and central banks in taking leadership on fostering the development of sustainable finance in their local markets. What have been the key drivers taking action and what further steps should be taken to scale market growth? This will segway into the announcement of SFIA and its important role in supporting ASEAN capital markets in achieving this ambition. The Sustainable Finance Institute Asia (“SFIA”) is an independent and neutral institute established to catalyse ideas at the policy level, as well as propel action in support of those policy ideas, on Sustainable Finance in Asia, particularly ASEAN. It aims to provide thought leadership and act as a one-stop centre for Sustainable Finance in ASEAN through collaborations with governments, regulators, central banks, multilateral development banks, industry, academia and non-governmental organisations. SFIA’s founding partners are the Asian Development Bank (“ADB”) and Climate Bonds Initiative (“CBI”), with CBI being SFIA’s resource partner.
